Fostering intercultural understanding and enabling personal growth

IFIL offers a unique platform for empowerment of young people. Its aim is to strengthen intercultural understanding of young people through study trips and projects. IFIL supports these young people in organizing the trips by providing know-how and the necessary financial, legal and logistic frame. With its commitment IFIL wants to help people tap their full potential. IFIL wants to act as a role model for young people and encourage them to be actively engaged themselves. Through its project IFIL not only advocates intercultural exchange but also personal growth of young people.

Organizing an intercultural study trip or a project requires extensive responsibility from its organizers. Through this experience social and mediation and leadership skills are developed and enhanced. The organizers of a trip bear the sole responsibility for the organization, execution and guidance of the trip. This requires a distinct sense of responsibility, a sensitive flair for group dynamics, sensible assessment on the spot and careful evaluation of measures.
