IFIL.ch - Initiative For Intercultural Learning

More than 100 young people participated in IFIL.ch's projects last year and learnt more about the political, economic and social situation in their host countries at more than 120 meetings.

The highlighst included talks with representatives of the Iranian Mission to the UN, the person in charge of Palestinian issues at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Venezuelan legislators from the party Movimiento V Republica.

We had discussions with the head of the Venezuelan food producer "Polar", a deputy secretary of State at the US State Department in Washington DC and the leader of the University Birseit in the West Bank.

Visiting the slum "23 de Enero" in Caracas, the Peace-Project with 40 Venezuelan students, as well as staying over in houses of Palestinian families in the region of Bethlehem guaranteed exciting encounters with the local population.

Last but not least, we swam in the Death Sea, slept in hammocks on the Caribbean Island Cayo Sombrero and walked through the UN Headquarter in New York and the White House in Washington DC.
